Kudos cardea c20 and c10 brings the full, vivid detail of your music to life

Kudos Audio has confirmed the release of its improved Cardea C10 and C20 loudspeakers. The new models are precision manufactured from balanced veneered High-Density Fiber board (HDF) and both use a custom 180mm mid/bass driver with a die-cast chassis with large open areas and a coated paper cone. There’s a 39mm voice coil in the C10 stand mount and a 26mm voice coil for the C20 floor stander, both having a phase plug to aid directivity.

The HF unit is a custom version of the SEAS Crescendo K2 29mm fabric dome and the C10 and C20 crossovers are first-order electrical for the LF utilizing a zero-distortion low-resistance Mundorf air-core inductor. The HF is filtered by a second-order electrical circuit using an ICW capacitor and another Mundorf air-core inductor plus a Mundorf MOX resistor.

The components mount onto an HDF panel, which is torqued to the rear of the cabinet ensuring it remains rigid, while the internal wiring employs Kudos’ KS-1 cable. The C10 and C20 are now available in White, Walnut, Natural Oak and Black Oak finishes and will set you back for the stand mount and  floor stander.

In common with all of Cardea series models, the C20 is a terrific communicator. It brings the full, vivid detail of your music to life - from soaring and swooping highs, to an agile and precise bass, and never leaving out those ever-vital minutiae such as the skin-tingling background sounds of a great live session. Its easy 8-ohm impedance means that the C20 will partner effortlessly with a wide range of valve and solid state amplifiers.
