The twenty.21s  As the article mentions, removing unwanted bass from the main loudspeakers has a number of benefits. This was of particular interest to me as the original Uniti has three loudspeaker options, one of which is ‘Small + Sub’. This introduces a 100Hz high pass filter in the amp, preventing low frequencies being passed to the main loudspeakers.

A relatively affordable subwoofer in the form of a BK XLS200 Mk2, which comprises a 10in bass unit and 275W amplifier with gain, filter and phase control. After sorting out placement, and spending some time adjusting the filter, phase and gain with the result. Clearly the twenty.21s were very happy with the reduced workload and the bass was firmer, but still fast. All was well  when boom became very evident and   tame it to any degree, either by electrical adjustments or moving the subwoofer.
